Caloundra City Council’s recreation and community development officers help build networks within the community by supporting and partnering with local sporting, recreation and community groups, organisations and individuals.
Some examples of projects include:

- The Program - Youthlinx School Holiday Program
- Sinema Film Club
- Tidy Towns
- Ride to School program
- Heart Foundation Walking (previously known as Just Walk It) and Moonwalking - Heart Foundation walking programs

- SCRUFFFY Film Festival - Sunshine Coast Regional Underground Film Festival For Young people

There are 24 flags available for not-for-profit community, sporting, recreation groups/organisations.

There is a $50 fully refundable flag deposit to be paid at the time of pick up.
The deposit will be refunded at the time of return only in the event of no damage, rips, dirt an/or loss of banners.
