The Education Program

The Education Program provides a vital link between the Caloundra Regional Art Gallery and the wider community. The Gallery acknowledges the importance of a strong and vibrant education program as an integral part of its function.

The objective of the Education Program is to present interpretative programs to the community that enhance the appreciation and understanding of the visual arts, and provide learning opportunities for the social and cultural growth of the community.

The Gallery supports its exhibition program with education and art appreciation officers. The work includes gallery tours for schools and other groups, workshops and art activities supporting exhibitions, art appreciation tours, exhibition support material and the Artreach Program to local schools.

Across Country Education Kits

The Caloundra Regional Art Gallery is proud to present the major exhibition Across Country, a selection from the Ken Hinds Cultural Collection. The Education Kits (available for download below) utilise excerpts from the Across Country catalogue, written by curator Susan McCulloch. It is recommended that the kits be used together with the catalogue and a visit to the exhibition.
